Maj. Gen. (Prof.) Nilendra Kumar is one of India’s finest legal minds. He has worked extensively across the legal space: from the government to educational institutions; international non-government agencies and corporates.
He was awarded a Ati Vishesh Seva Medal and Vishesh Seva Medal for his contributions as Judge Advocate General of the Indian Army, where he served for 28 years.
A product of Lucknow University, the National Defense Academy and Indian Military Academy, he was commissioned in Regiment of Artillery in December,1969. Took part in Indo-Pak war, 1971 on the western front.
He headed the Amity Law School, Noida from August 2009 to July 2016. Under his stewardship, the school was selected for the coveted Institutional Excellence Award 2013. He taught Interpretation of Statutes, Law Poverty and Development, Professional Ethics and Media Law.
He has been nominated by the Speaker, Lok Sabha to the Management Advisory Committee of the Lok Sabha TV and to the Internship Advisory Committee Lok Sabha.
He has authored 16 books of which many have seen multiple editions.
